1.Contracts and legal document management
•Negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts and general legal documentation (NDAs, LOIs, service provider agreements, concession agreements, communications agreements, real estate agreements etc)
•Management of existing contracts database – renewal/expiry dates of key contracts
•Template Management - Creating, managing and updating template contracts and legal documentation
•Drafting and updating policies and procedures
•Assisting the Korean Subsidiary in the localization of Group documents
2.Consumer protection matters
•Advise on, draft and amend as necessary all terms and conditions of sale, ensuring protection of the brand’s interests while complying with applicable consumer protection laws
•Advise on consumer protection disputes or complaints (including parallel importation matters)
•Provide adequate training in this field
3.Compliance and regulatory
•Develop, adapt, roll out and promote data protection, anti-corruption/anti money laundering/ethical and general compliance policies, procedures and measures within the region, in line with Group policies, including effecting regional training on such matters
•Being abreast of all regulatory matters applicable to the business and ensuring compliance of the business in such matters (excluding tax related matters)
4.Corporate secretarial
•Assisting the Group and Regional legal teams in the organization of Board meetings and AGMs
•Preparation of Board & AGM resolutions
•Business license registrations and renewals
•Certification of documents
5.General legal support
•Legal research & legal monitoring - Building and maintaining a legal knowledge database
•Manage disputes and litigation, as and when they arise
•Being the local contact and correspondent for the Group and Regional IP enforcement teams
•Providing support, as and when needed, to the HR department on labor law matters
경력 및 자격요건
•Bachelor and Masters of Law degree from a reputable South Korean university
•International profile is a must - International education and experience is mandatory outside of South Korea
•Double qualification preferred (for example, law qualification from a common law jurisdiction)
•6 -12 years practical legal experience in a law firm with in-house experience in the retail sector is mandatory, in a regional or international role.
•General practice lawyer with experience in a wide array of legal matters: corporate and contract law, real estate law, consumer protection law, data protection and anti-corruption/anti-money laundering, labour laws, dispute resolution and IP laws.
•Must be able to work autonomously while being a good team player (in particular, able to work smoothly with business teams and remote legal teams)
•Must have a pleasant demeanor, be intuitive, detail oriented, organized, proactive, take initiatives and be self-motivated
•Excellent analytical and communication skills, have a strong curiosity about how the business functions and be generally business oriented (you will be expected to act as a business partner rather than a pure support role)
•Korean mother tongue, with bilingual English communication skills (written and verbal).
•Hands on computer knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
