• Lead effort to design, architect, and build our data platform to support different methods to ingest and process data; including events, legacy systems, and third party APIs.
• Design, implement and maintain end-to-end data pipelines from raw data sources to presentation.
• Own the technical vision and roadmap for our data platform to meet the data needs of different stakeholders across multiple business units.
• Partner with a product owner to develop a product vision and roadmap
• Lead, mentor, and grow a small team of high-performing data engineers
• Collaborate with the Engineering Team, Analytics, subject matter exports, and department leaders to understand, analyze, build and deliver new data models, processes, and reports
• Establish and drive adoption of best practices for data engineering, component re-use, architecture and technical standards
• Ensure data quality and compliance with reporting and regulatory standards
• Manage daily operations for the Data Platform team, including projects, priorities, and user requests (with the help from a scrum master / agile coach)
• Align with broader goals of the business and IT strategy
• Recruit, train, motivate and evaluate his/her team to ensure that the department has the necessary skill base and potential.
경력 및 자격요건
• Degree in information technology or related fields (computer science; information science; software engineering),
• Degree in Engineering with additional IT qualifications or equivalent work experience
• Relevant project management qualification (ASP, PHP, AJAX, Java, others) or equivalent work experience
• Experienced in managing large amounts of data from multiple platforms into actionable insights, utilizing data to build strategy and clearly communicate strategies to internal and external stakeholders
• Preferred if able to create modern data pipelines using tools such as AWS Kinesis and Lambda, StreamSets, etc.
• Preferred if able to develop SQL structures that support high volumes and scalability using RDBMS’s such as SQL Server, MySQL, Aurora, etc.
• Preferred if able to model and design modern data structures, SQL/NoSQL databases, Data Lakes, Cloud Data Warehouse (SnowFlake preferred)
• Python programming experience preferred
• Prefer experience engineering solutions in AWS
• AWS certification preferred but not required prior to hiring
