• Provide leadership and direction for the development, implementation and continuous improvement of an effective environmental health and safety management system that ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, company's EHS Standards and aligned with APAC and Corporate strategies, initiatives and goals
• Implement a targeted health and safety and environmental risk management program that ensure the identification, assessment and control of illness and injury risks, minimizes environmental impacts and meets local regulatory requirements
• Partner with the company businesses at all levels of the organization to provide EHS technical expertise and support
• Provide EHS technical support for Facilities projects
• Establish and promote an EHS culture
• Develop and implement appropriate EHS training programs
• Develop, monitor and promote environmental, health and safety performance providing quarterly corporate and local management reporting
• Partner with management to integrate EHS into business decisions
• Support, coach and mentor managers while driving accountability for EHS
• Promote and encourage an adequate investment in safety initiatives by providing sound business rationale
• Ensure an EHS consultation framework is in place across Korea that encourages employee participation
• Establish a culture of reporting EHS adverse events including incidents, injuries, near misses and hazards through the company's EHSMIS
• Ensure effective incident investigation and root cause analysis is conducted
• Provide support to other Korean sites where needed
• Participate in and lead regional EHS projects

• Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as Workplace Health and Safety, Ergonomics, Safety Science, Safety Engineering with a minimum of 7-10 years experience
• Workplace assessment and training qualifications desirable
• EHMS and compliance auditing experience desirable
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organisational and project management skills
• Ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation
• Ability to work with change and ambiguity
