- Lead engagement activities as defined by the client contract.
- Demonstrate leadership on complex strategy workstreams across larger GBS projects or have managed complete, discrete strategy engagements.
- Facilitate and guide the requirements gathering, analysis, development of hypotheses/conclusions, production of final reports, delivery of presentations and assisting in securing new contracts.
- Responsible for ensuring that the engagement delivers to client expectations on time and within budget, as well as delivering planned profit to IBM.
- Recognize and track changing requirements and help renegotiate contracts as necessary.
- Responsible for planning and managing the use and collection of intellectual capital throughout the engagement.
- Invest time in the professional development of other consultants and act as mentors.
- Establish relationships with client executives and be recognized as an expert in their field.
- Have strong engagement management skills and manage others developing strategy work products.
- Recognized as experts in anticipating client challenges with fact-based industry-specific knowledge that can be linked to one of four services competencies.
- Understand and abide by the quality assurance guidelines governing the engagements for which they are responsible; and can draft and review responses to Requests for Information (RFI), responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP), IBM contracts, and IBM statements of work.
- Have revenue generation responsibilities that are normally related to follow-on and client extension work.
