•highly motivated chemist, who will be leading a laboratory in the synthesis of OLED Materials located in our new Advanced Technology Center. Together closely with our customers and our research team in Germany.
•developing synthetic routes for OLED Materials, implementing them in our synthetic laboratory on a multigram scale and providing state-of-the-art organic chemistry expertise.
•collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (chemistry-physics-materials science) and take over team leading responsibility by supervising junior chemists.
•ensure that planned work is carried out according to project deadlines and take into account our safe working practices and SH&E factors.

•PhD in synthetic organic chemistry, ideally in the synthesis of materials for organic electronics (OLED, OPV, OFETs)
•Profound knowledge and experience in organic synthesis chemistry, combined with excellent preparative skills
•Solid knowledge in standard analytical methods (NMR, HPLC, GC, ….)
•Experience in industry and in interdisciplinary research projects (Chemistry-Physics-Material Sciences) will be an advantage
•Knowledge of Intellectual Property is desirable
•Be proactive, have the flexibility to change priorities at short notice and work to tight deadlines
•Very good communication skills
•Experienced in managing and motivating people

•Ability to operate in a multi-disciplinary and/or cross-functional team
•Excellent spoken and written English is imperative.
