- Generate business opportunity for in-house technology development and/or in conjunction with identified partners through technology in-licensing
- Evaluate technologies and their applicability in material or chemistry/chemical development
- Provide strong input to technical issues arising
- Identify technological gaps in IP, and development of IP strategy, including defensive patenting.
- Prepare business case for identified business opportunity, including market entry strategy and business plan
- Have in depth understanding of industry value chain in electronics, optoelectronics, or display industries.
- Cooperate with colleagues in R&D, marketing, legal, and other business communities
- Maintain external and internal professional network

- Master or PhD in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering, Physics, Electronics or Electrical Engineering
- 7+ years of technical/business development experience in electronics, or optoelectronics industries
- Strategic thinking with demonstrated ability and experience in electronics,
optoelectronics, and display industry
- Good experience in market intelligence and marketing strategy
- Experience in business model development
- Must be fluent in English, knowledge on Mandarin or other Asian languages is a plus (e.g., Chinese or Japanese or Korean)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
