SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Senior Research Chemist develops new products/chemicals used to manufacture semiconductors, memory devices, and light emitting diodes.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1.Starting with the concept of what is needed, the chemist develops commercially viable products in a timely fashion.
2.Plans and conducts a variety of complex technical projects under very general directions. Performs work independently with instructions as to the general results expected
3.Adhere to all safety rules.
4.Perform other duties as assigned by R&D Management.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
1.Model and characterize the performance of new products.
2.Collaborate with Applications Engineers and Sales to introduce the products into customer applications.
3.Provide training on the use of the new products and methods.
4.Participate in technical and business strategy development.
5.Present work at scientific meetings and trade shows.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education:Master( 2 ~5 yrs) or PhD (0-3+ yrs) experience required
Experience:Development for Etch, cleaner, residue remover and stripper, and semiconductor industry or research preferred.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Chemist/Chemical Engineer/Material Scientist
Skills/Competencies:
•Proficiency in chemistry including etching a plus.
•Knowledge of semiconductor, FPD or light emitting diode fabrication processes
•Creativity
•The ability to develop innovative approaches to solving complex problems
•A familiarity with the chemical and technical literature.
•The ability to research the literature to understand past developments and to facilitate the development of original strategies.
•The ability to conduct intellectual property reviews
•The ability to identify industry trends in order to invent and develop novel and patentable chemistry and/or processes
•The ability to independently design and conduct experiments.
